Devious Journal Entry

Tue May 12, 2009, 6:10 PM
'Lo, there do I see my father.
'Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers.
'Lo, there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning.
'Lo, they do call to me they bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla...
Where the brave may live...forever.

I'm a 26 year old art/cinema student. I have an eclectic taste in music, movies, and art, so I'm pretty agreeable. Most of the time.

I would say I'm fairly romantic. There's nothing quite like the feeling of that special someone's hand fitting perfectly in yours. I believe that faith between two people as well as love can overcome any obstacle.

In an interview just prior to his death, Brandon Lee quoted a passage from Paul Bowles' book The Sheltering Sky that he had chosen for his wedding invitations; it is now inscribed on his tombstone:

"Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless..."
